Truffle Hound is our ode to our favourite wines of Northern Italy, particularly the rustic, savoury, spicy but effortlessly drinkable table reds of Piemonte. Piemonte is home to some of our favourite wines to drink - The Nebbiolo that makes it into incredible Cru Barolo, the underrated Barbera, - hell, we’ve got a real soft spot for Moscato d’Asti! But Truffle Hound is all about the red stuff. We’ve sourced some Nebbiolo & Barbera from an incredible vineyard in the Clare Valley, that we co-fermented together, for this medium-bodied, spicy red with lifted bitter herb aromatics, all made in stainless steel for maximum drinkability. We’ve started adding some Sangiovese and some Merlot of late for a bit of Tuscan-inspired love, and a pair of great varieties for weeknight consumption, and that’s what this wine is all about - simplicity and approachability, a wine built for cancelled plans, pizza and bonding with your couch. A comfort wine at its very core.
